Insight

Navigate on a modern river yacht, experiencing first-hand the most fascinating and intriguing night in Venice.

Venice Redentore Festival cruise

It is a very heartfelt event by the Venetians, and combines religion and party, thanks to the phantasmagorical firework show that illuminates the inimitable stage of the San Marco water basin. The pyrotechnic lights and reflections dominate the night and give a magic atmosphere at the city skyline.

It is a very important celebration for the inhabitants, as it remembers the end of the epidemic pestilence that plagued the city until July 1577. The Redentore Party is therefore a 400-year-old Venetian tradition.

The celebration starts on the third week of July, visiting to the basilica of the Redentore, designed by Andrea Palladio, and located on the island called Giudecca. Then it continues in the night with the fireworks show, and the traditional night walk to enjoy in the narrow streets of the old town. Finally, in the afternoon of Sunday, the rowing regattas of the Venetian gondolas ends up the weekend.

No better way to enjoy the festival, than include it on a boating holiday, which adds marine nature, relax and fun, in the days before and after the party.
