Our Minuetto6+ boat has been modified to increase accessibility and ensure ease of movement for wheelchair users. Changes were made mainly in the stern, widening the access, cabin and bathroom doors so that a wheelchair user can move more freely around this area.
Ramps have been installed in place of the stairs inside to allow a wheelchair up to 55 cm wide to move freely around the dining room, bedroom and bathroom.
The upper deck is now accessible via a powerful hydraulic lift with a capacity of up to 100 kg. The platform rises from the ground floor to the first floor like a lift, granting access to the sun deck, the outdoor table and the main pilot seat. Basically, almost all areas are accessible, except for the bow cabin and bathroom, which are too narrow.
Moreover, to facilitate access to land, the boat has a special 60-cm wide aluminium gangway that must be put in place and removed once the wheelchair has passed.
Finally, upon request, we can provide a special wheelchair with suitable dimensions to move around the boat free of charge. The guest uses the on-board wheelchair when in the boat and his own during excursions on land.
Information on guest independence. The boat requires a crew able to perform manoeuvres, pass the mooring lines, raise the gangways, and get around under difficult conditions. A wheelchair user would not be able to pilot the boat on his own. However, with a mixed crew, a boating holiday becomes perfectly accessible and enjoyable.
To identify mooring areas suitable for wheelchair users, please see the following table covering all of the cruise areas we propose that offer safe and reliable mooring solutions. Our staff can provide additional information at the base at check in.
