This bean-shaped lagoon is lined to the sea by several entrances. To the far west is the hamlet of Bevazzana, to the east is the large island town of Grado, with its spectacular attractions.
This itinerary is the best during the summer months, because of the many activities available. Plus, there is a special section of gastronomical events that we can provide.
Navigation is easy because of the double row of red and green dolphins that delimit the navigable canal.
Aprilia Marittima to the east of the lagoon is primarily a well-equipped nautical port and shipyard, but with few tourist attractions.
The nearby Lignano peninsula, on the other hand, especially its tip called Sabbiadoro, is a true amusement hub, with services and attractions for everyone, and with mooring.
The Stella River, a green and lush resurgent river that leads to the lagoon just west of the millennial fishing town of Marano Lagunare, is the shortest way to our Precenicco base. A lovely natural park in the heart of the lagoon with tiny islands, fishing grounds and saltmarshes, are home to some renowned restaurants accessible only by boat.
From the north-eastern part of the lagoon, called Grado, you can travel up the Natissa River to the ancient Roman port of Aquileia, for an unforgettable visit.
The island of Grado, beyond which you may not navigate because of the very low road bridges, provides berths in an equipped port, in addition to many activities for everyone.
The easy-to-reach beaches make this a paradise for sun, sea and summer lovers.
The Valli di Caorle are crossed by the Canale Nicessolo and lead to the north through their intersection with the Lemene River to Concordia Sagittaria and Portogruaro where you can visit the ancient Roman monuments. Beware of the crossing of the Baseleghe valley, a bit west of the Bibione peninsula.
Caorle is a lovely town with about 11000 inhabitants. Its origins go back to the first century AC. Today, it is one of the prettiest towns in the eastern Veneto, with its 18 km long beach with golden sand. In addition to its gorgeous beaches and millennial historic centre, the inland valleys and lagoons are worthy of note.
